| Alice In Chains is always welcomed in Chicago and it surely has been a long time coming! The long awaited return of “The Rooster” Jerry Cantrell (pictured) and crew was definitely a site for sore eyes. The Aragon Ballroom (a.k.a. BRAWLROOM) is notorious for thee worst sound for such a majestic venue, ever to be erected! However, this was of no consequence due to the 2 hour + most righteous set! Another hidden live treat was the highly anticipated arrival of Daniel Lioneye (at right) was a proven departure of famed Finnish band HIM. Its gritty anthems made for a diverse opening act for Cradle of Filth’s North American stint.. |
| Immortal’s lead singer/guitarist Abbath, bought the crowd to their knees with favorites “Sons of Northern Darkness” and “The Sun No Longer Rises”. The Bottom Lounge Chicago played host to a limited touring engagement to North America February 22nd. |

| FINALLY, the wait is over... Machine Head's (top) long overdue return to the dusty trail is over! In support of their highly acclaimed "Unto The Locust" (which most all calling the band's "Black Album") fans haven't forgotten what good ol' American metal is all about! Meanwhile, on the other part of town days later, Sweden's ambiguously dark, Ghost (bottom two), makes it to The States without any visa hicups earlier this winter to the Bottom Lounge, Chicago. |
